Mario Losen, PhD, is a neurobiologist who received his PhD degree in 2006 on ‘Therapeutic approaches for the treatment of neurological protection of neurological synapses in autoimmunity’ at the Department of Psychiatry and Neuropsychology at Maastricht University (UM). He is now working as assistant professor on research projects aimed at developing experimental therapies for neurological diseases, including myasthenia gravis and Alzheimer’s disease. His research focuses on vulnerability factors of synapses and antibody engineering.
