I got my PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Universidad Austral de Chile, Valdivia Chile. After finishing my PhD thesis work at Centro de Estudios Científicos (CECs) in Valdivia I was accepted as a Postdoctoral Fellow at NIH, Bethesda, USA. Recently I got I grant from CONICYT, Chile, to start my own research line at Universidad Austral de Chile. Research interests: Cellular physiology of the ion transport Intracellular pH regulation Epithelial transport Biophysics of ion transporters and channels
