Installation
Software needed
Download and install the software provided by Thorlabs for the Power Meter: https://www.thorlabs.com/newgrouppage9.cfm?objectgroup_id=3341. Connect your Power Meter with the provided USB cable to your computer and make sure that the Thorlabs software works correctly.
Copy dll files to the Micro-Mnager directory
Copy the files “PM100D_64.dll” and “TLPM_64.dll” from “C:\Program Files\IVI Foundation\VISA\Win64\Bin” to your Micro-Manager directory (usually C:\Program Files\Micro-Manager-2.0”.
Create a Configuration File
In the Hardware Configuration Wizard, select the ThorlabsPM100x. Confirm the “name” found for your device (something starting with “USB…”.
Working with the device
The device adapter lets you set the wavelength for measurements, and reads raw values from the device. It is main purpose is to combine setting light levels in other hardware (such as LEDs and lasers) with reading back intensity values for automated calibrations.
