Overview of new features in version 1.2

Enhancements and major bug fixes

• Totally reworked scripting interface.  Both the Micro-Manager core and GUI are now scriptable. 
• A dialogue was added that generates a tile/grid based on user input
• Added an option to bypass the splash window on startup
• Added 'sliders' to set properties with minimum and maximum values
• By assigning a single property to a configuration preset, all these properties values can now be selected in the configuration group, i.e., one can get a slider on the front panel!
• Adapter can now tell the GUI to rebuild the property list.
• Added Splitview for live preview of dual view and similar devices
• Added close all image windows menu command
• ImageJ menu command 'crop' now works on Micro-Manager windows
• Improvements in user interface to the hardware config wizard

Device support

• Many improvements in the Hamamatsu DCAM adapter (now supports C9100-13 EM cameras for instance)
• Improved PVCAM support (many cameras that previously failed in acquisition now work). PVCAM adapter now displays strings instead of numbers for many properties.
• Added handware handshaking to serial port adapter
• Added support for Physik Instrumente piezo stages
• Baud rates up to  now 115200 baud now supported by the serial port adapters.
• Added adapter 'DAZStage' that lets you control a Z stage through a DA device
• Added adapter for the Velleman K8061 board
• Added generalized USB port adapter
• Added adapter for the Spectral LMM5 controller (serial interface only)
• Libdc1394 now works with libdc1394 version 2.0 (final)
